On Tuesday early morning, a woman was trampled to death by a wild elephant inside Chhendipada Forest Range in Odisha’s Angul district.
As per sources, the woman set out to the forest to collect firewood and while she was returning back from the forest, she was suddenly attacked by the wild elephant. The woman couldn’t escape and was therefore trampled by the wild jumbo.
The residents rushed to the spot as soon as they got to know of the incident but it was too late by then. Later the residents staged a road blockade demanding compensation for the dead woman.
