Orissa HC Bar Association calls off stir; Courts function from tomorrow

ONI Bureau:  The long-standing spat between police and lawyers came to an end today as Orissa High Court Bar Association today decided to withdraw the 78-day-long cease-work strike.

The Courts will start functioning from tomorrow and the lawyers would join their duty from Thursday as 3 cops involved in the assault on an advocate Debi Prasad Patnaik, sought unconditional apology before the Orissa High Court, informed Association President Srikant Nayak.

In this regard, the bench of Justice Chittaranjan Das directed the police to prepare a guideline to avoid such disputes in future.
