Orissa High Court grants Bail to AT Chit Fund accused Rajat Choudhury

The Orissa High Court on Friday granted conditional bail to former State Youth Congress President Rajat Choudhury, who is accused in the Artha Tatwa (AT) Group Chit Fund Scam.

Choudhury was granted bail against a deposit of Rs 1.5 crore and against Rs 1 lakh bail bond and two guarantors.

Notably, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Rajat Choudhury and Orissa High Court lawyer Debasish Panda on July 4 this year for their alleged involvement in the AT Group scam.

CBI officials said, Choudhary held the power of attorney for a property belonging to the Artha Tatwa Group which was later sold for Rs 94 lakh.
