ONI Bureau: Prime minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid foundation stone of multiple developmental projects worth Rs 4500 crore on his Baripada visit in Mayurbhanj district today.
During his Baripada visit, the Prime Minister unveiled a plaque to mark the commencement of work for the development and conservation of Rasika Ray temple at ancient fort, Haripurgarh.
He also unveiled four-laning of major sections of three National Highways in the state including 43.2 km of the Rimuli-Koida section on NH-215 at a cost of Rs 828.36 crore. 104.2 km of the Singara-Binjabahal section on NH-6 for for Rs 1,313 crore and 53.2 km of the Koida-Rajmunda section on NH-215 at an estimated cost of Rs 1,176.4 crore.
The Prime Minister dedicated to the nation the Balasore-Haldia-Durgapur section of LPG pipeline project of IOCL and the Balasore multi-modal logistic park.
He also dedicated the doubling of 9 km Naranpur-Basantpur and 11.3 km Chillikidara-Sagadapata line to the nation.
Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Jual Oram and Odisha Minister Prafulla Mallick were present at the occasion. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik who was supposed to attend the event in Baripada, cancelled his plan in last moment due to his programme in Puri.
