On the 89th anniversary of the historic Dandi March, Prime Minister Narendra Modi penned a blog to pay tribute to the Father of the Nation. The title of the blog is ‘When a handful of salt shook an Empire’.
The Prime Minister glorified the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, for his unparalleled life and teachings and his struggles against the injustice and inequality inflicted by the British.
The Prime Minister also praised Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who played a significant role in planning the historic Dandi March.
