ONI Bureau: Former Lok Sabha MP and Congress leader Pradeep Majhi has slammed Media Baron Soumya Ranjan Patnaik and Educationist-cum-Social Entrepreneur Dr. Achyuta Samanta for joining the Biju Janata Dal (BJD).
“A person who has been associated with Bhasha Andolan and worked for the promotion of Odia language, has now embraced a leader, who is known for not learning Odia despite being the CM of the state for 18 years. This is really unfortunate”, said Pradeep Majhi on Soumya Ranjan Patnaik.
On Achyuta Samanta joining BJD, Pradeep said, “Dr. Samanta has been a saviour of Tribals. He did a lot for them. I wonder how he preferred to join a party, which always harassed and inflicted atrocities on innocent tribals on various occasions”.
