Prasad asks Naveen to consult Orissa HC Chief Justice over Permanent Benches

ONI Bureau:  In response to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s letter regarding establishment of permanent Benches of Orissa High Court in Western & Southern Odisha, the Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad requested the State Government to consult the Orissa High Court Chief Justice over the issue.

Replying to a letter of the CM, the Union Minister said that the same process is followed in case of all other High Courts. Once the recommendations of the High Court are obtained, the State Government has to provide the necessary infrastructure immediately.

Earlier, the Chief Minister wrote a letter to the Union Law and Justice Minister requesting him to take an early decision regarding establishment of permanent Benches of Orissa High Court in both Western & Southern Odisha region.
