ONI Bureau: Student leaders of Congress and ABVP today staged protest, burnt effigy of BJD leader Arun Sahoo in Mayurbhanj distict, Vani Vihar in Bhubaneswar and in other places across the State for humiliating North Orissa University’s Student Union President, Tushar Nayak who alleged that the legislator made him do sit-ups in front of everybody.
The protesting leaders demanded unconditional apology from Sahoo and demanded the legislator be terminated as the BJD’s Mayurbhanj district observer for insulting the student community. The irate students also submitted a memorandum to Mayurbhanj Collector in this connection.
