A police vehicle carrying trainee Jawans of OSAP’s 2nd Battalion met head on collision with a truck near a petrol pump in Belpahar area on NH-49 of Jharsuguda district at around 6.30 am while they were going to attend the Chief Minister’s scheduled program at Banharpalli today.
Police rushed to the spot after getting information and sent the injured to the hospital. The deceased were identified as Prashant Behera of Puri and Shankar Prasad Pant.
Road mishaps are on rise. Traffic Police should be alert and a firm check to be conducted while hiring drivers.
