ONI Bureau: Not long ago, former BJD MP Baijayant Panda had categorically said that he himself would declare his next political move, not through any news portals, channels or his office.
The reported meeting between his wife Jagi Mangat Panda and RSS Chief Mohan Bhagat in Bhubaneswar recently, had triggered speculations that he would join BJP on December 24 in the presence of PM Narendra Modi.
Some websites even attributed the report to his office, saying it’s almost confirmed. However, sources close to Baijayant Panda deny it, saying the former BJD leader has not yet revealed his cards.
“As Jay has always maintained, it’s he who would declare his political plans, not others. The report is purely based on speculations and far from reality,” the sources said.
A Senior Journalist, who personally knows Jay Panda, shrugged off the meeting between Jagi Panda and Mohan Bhagwat, saying “If Baijayant has to discuss political plans with the RSS Chief, he is the best person to do it himself, not through his wife”.
It’s always better to get his version before jumping into any conclusion. Yes, all eyes are on him and entire Odisha wants to know whether he is going to join BJP on December 24 or not.
