ONI Bureau: The Shri Jagannath Sevayat Sammilani of Puri demanded Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb to be part of the Ratna Bhandar Inspection team instead of his representative.
Srimandir servitors requested that Puri Gajapati must be in the inspection team as he is a permanent member of the team which is in charge of the Ratna Bhandar and first servitor of the three deities.
Earlier it was decided that Ratna Bhandar of Puri Srimandir will be opened for inspection of its ceiling and walls on April 4. A ten-member team including experts from Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) will inspect the Ratna Bhandar (treasure trove).
