ONI Bureau: The Revenue and Disaster Management Department on Thursday issued show-cause notice to the Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Bhubaneswar for violating Odisha Govt’s direction on extending summer vacation till June 25 in view of intense heat conditions across the State.
As per the letter issued by the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Bishnupada Sethi, the concerned school principal has been asked to explain as to why action under Section 51 (b) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 shall not be initiated against him for such wilful violation of the above order of the Government issued to protect lives of the people in a threatening disaster situation.
