SLSWCA accords approval to Investment Proposals of Rs 420.35 Cr

Bhubaneswar, 23rd Feb: The State Level single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Sri Aditya Parsad Padhi today in secretariat conference hall accorded in principle approval to 3 investment proposals of worth Rs.420.35 crs.

Chief Secretary has advised IPICOL and State Level Technical committee to promote more employment intensive and downstream industries in the State. Principal Secretary, Industry Sri Sanjeeb Chopra presented the proposed projects and outlined the issues for discussion.

Replying to a media query after the meeting, the General manager IPICOL Sri Kalyan Mohanty said that the approved projects included the proposal of M/S Grid Construction Ltd to set up 60000 IPA Aluminium & Aluminium  conductors manufacturing unit with an investment of Rs 127.35 cr in Angul Almunium Park, Angul.

This unit would provide direct employment to 50 persons. The other two projects were the proposal of M/S SOM distilleries & breweries Odisha Pvt Ltd. to set up 10 lakh hectoliters capacity brewing industry and 10.8 lakh hectoliters per annum capacity bottling plant near Khordha with a total investment of Rs.193 Cr; and the proposal of M/S Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd to set up a LPG bottling plant at Bolangir with a total investment of Rs.100 cr. These two plants are expected to create 493 direct and indirect employment opportunities.

The Authority along with the members of the State Project Monitoring Group ( SPMG) also reviewed the progress of earlier approved investment proposals. The reviewed projects included M/S Transmission Pvt. mining projects of OMC, Construction of 220 KV Transmission line from Laxmipur to Damanjodi by M/S Nalco,  M/S Tosali Cement prt. Ltd., M/S Aditya Almunium Project, M/S- Bhusan steel Ltd., Odisha power Generation Corporation Ltd and M/S- Emami Cement Ltd. The issues relating to land acquisition, forest diversion, construction of approach road, DGPS survey, power supply, use of water etc were discussed and resoled in the meeting.

The Development Commissioner Sri R. Balakrishnan,  Principal Secretary Forest & Environment Sri Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, Principal Secretary Steel & Mines Sri Raj Kumar Sharma,  Principal Secretary Water Resources Sri Pradeep Kumar Jena, Principal Secretary energy Sri Rajesh Verma, MD GRIDCO Sri Hemant Sharma. MD IDCO Sri Sanjaya Singh along with senior officers from respective departments participated in the discussions.
