Small Wonder: 12-YO Jajpur Boy Translates Mahabharata Into Odia

Utilizing the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown fruitfully, a 12-year old Jajpur boy has translated the mythological epic ‘Mahabharata’ into Odia.

Meet Uday Kumar Sahoo of Jajpur town in Odisha, who has translated the mythological epic ‘Mahabharata’ in Odia.

A student of Class-VII of Shree Aurobindo Nodal School in Jajpur, Uday loves reading spiritual books. He has translated the epic from Hindi to Odia.

Uday’s father is a businessman while mother is a primary school teacher. After translating the 240-page book into Odia all by himself, Uday now wants to translate another mythological epic ‘Ramayana.’
