The student is identified as Bhanu, a resident of neighbouring state Chhatisgarh. He is supposed to be dead though his body has not been found yet.
According to sources, around seven students of the varsity went to the river near Bidyadharpur for taking bath. Two students slipped into the deep waters.
The Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) team rushed to the spot and rescued another student.
The rescue operations are still going on to find the body of the missing student.
