The police had been looking for Satyajit Patnaik for a long time. He had even applied for an anticipatory bail. While many student leaders were arrested earlier in connection with the case, some are still absconding. Th police have booked them under Section 307 of the IPC ( Attempt to Murder).
Satyajit Patnaik will be produced in the court later today. It can be recalled that Youth Congress activists, had hurled eggs on Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik’s car en route to Utkal University to attend a programme. Although the eggs missed the target, they did hit the car and stalled CM’s journey for some time, brining huge embarrassment to the government and BJD supremo.
