Tension prevails at Ravenshaw University, Students gherao VC office

Cuttack, Sep 28: The students of Ravenshaw University have gherao Vice Chancellor (VC) office today here demanding action over attack on a group of students during Ganesh idol immersion issue. Some of the students went on rampage here, pelted stones at the office building of VC damaging parked vehicle there.

According to reports, some miscreants  attacked a group of students in the campus during Ganesh idol immersion on Sunday evening. Demanding action against those involved in the attacked today students protested at the VC’s office. Tension prevailed in the campus following outrage and protest by the students over the issue. However, police rushed the campus and brought the situation under the control pacifying irate students.
