ONI Bureau: The vigilance sleuths on Wednesday conducted raids on various Government offices in Kendrapara, Cuttack and Chandikhol in alleged connection of officials with gangster Syed Usman Ali alias Tito.
Reportedly, vigilance conducted raid at Tehsil offices in Derabish and Garadpur, Kendrapara Municipality, the Civil Supplies department’s office and RTO office at Dehuria tehsil in the district. According to sources, the RTO office in Cuttack and Chandikhole were also raided.
Meanwhile, the Special Task Force (STF) of the Odisha Crime Branch today produced Tito before the Rajnagar JMFC court in a tender fixing case and JMFC Court allowed STF of Odisha Crime Branch to take Tito on a 4 day remand yet again.
On the other hand, BJP criticised the State Govt over vigilance probe into Tito links said many influential persons would have been caught if the the Crime Branch had continued the investigation.
This move is aimed to dilute the investigation process, BJP spokesperson Pitambar Acharya said today.
