According to reports, the hacker has mentioned about the hacking on Facebook account. The hacker identified himself as Ahmad Chanda from Dubai.
The University officials have been forced to close the site as the e-admission process is currently in progress. Utkal University vice-chancellor Ashok Kumar Das said they have shut down the website for the time being.
The State Crime Branch is probing the first incident. Crime Branch special DG BK Sharma said that they have not received any written complaint yet. The cyber cell of the State Crime Branch will investigate into the matter after receiving the complaint.
Notably, On April 20, the official site of Odisha Staff Selection Commission ossc.gov.in was hacked by Philippine Cyber Syndicate and on May 3 Website of Utkal University hacked in Germany.
