ONI Bureau: Scuffle broke out between police personnel and villagers during cutting of trees for setting up of a beer factory at Balrampur in Dhenkanal.
As per report, out of the 12 acres of land allocated to a liquor company by IDCO for setting up of a beer factory, 5 acres of it has a forest of Sal and over hundred big trees of various species on it.
The district administration began the process of tree felling in the wee hours of Saturday.
After getting information, hundreds of villagers rushed to the spot to protest. Reportedly, 13 villagers have been held in this connection.
