Water Logging: Show-cause notice to ISKCON, Hotel Presidency on encroachment

ONI Bureau:  Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued show cause notices to the ISKCON temple authority and manager of Hotel Presidency in view of the water logging problem on NH-16 in front of the ISKCON temple near IRC Village, Nayapalli in  Bhubaneswar.

The show cause issued to the ISKCON Temple president for encroachment of NH 16 in  Bhubaneswar, mentioning that the ISKCON Temple has unauthorized and illegally encroached the land earmarked as Right of Way adjoining NH-5 and constructed shops thereon. Encroachment of the space also prevents flow of storm water and causes insanitary condition in the area.

Similarly, the show cause issued to the Manager of Hotel Presidency for alleged unauthorized and illegally encroached the land earmarked for Right of Way adjoining NH-5. The Hotel is misusing the said encroached land for parking of vehicles of the Hotel, discharging dirty water causing insanitary condition in the area and for installing a generator on the Government land adjoining the Hotel.
