Wife takes on IAS Officer Taradatt, approaches Women’s Commission

In a big development, 1983 batch senior IAS Officer Taradatt has landed in trouble after his wife Indulata Das approached the Women’s Commission in Odisha, levelling charges against him. She met Women’s Commission Chairperson Lopamudra Baxipatra and sought justice.

After coming out of the meeting, Indulata confirmed that she had written to the Commission against her husband, as she suspects him of having illicit affairs with other woman. If proven guilty, he must be punished. He must come clean, if he claims innocence, she added. She has levelled ‘moral turpitude’ allegations against Taradatt.

Reacting to the latest development, Women’s Commission Chairperson Lopamudra Baxipatra said that they are analysing the complaint and will take necessary action soon. Taradatt, who was the Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue, was transferred as KBK Chief Administrator with additional charge of Gopabandhu Academy of Administration on April 20.
