CSK beat Delhi Daredevils by 1 Run in IPL Thriller

Two-time IPL Champions Chennai Super Kings started their campaign this season on a thrilling note with a one-run victory over Delhi Daredevils. It was the second match of the IPL 8, which was held at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Delhi needed 18 runs from the last over, but Albie Morkel could manage to get 17 runs.

In this low-scoring match, Chennai Super Kings managed to score 150/7 in 20 overs. Dwayne Smith (34), Faf du Plessis (32) and Dhoni (30) were the top scorers. Nathan Coulter-Nile took three wickets for Delhi.

Albie Morkel played a brilliant knock of 73* off 55 balls to take Delhi very close to an incredible victory. He did not get support from other batsmen. Only Kedar Jadhav contributed 20. In the end, Delhi Daredevils finished at 149/9 in 20 overs and lost by one run. For CSK, Ashish Nehra took three wickets. Dwayne Bravo took two wickets. Yuvraj Singh (9) and JP Duminy (5) disappointed a lot. Ashish Nehra was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
