SAI Academy walked away as champions in both the sub-junior and junior category of the first ever Academy Nationals held at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
In the junior match, SAI won 2-1 over Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy. Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre defeated Khalsa Hockey Academy (Amritsar) 5 – 1 to claim third place.
In the sub-junior category, SAI- Academy defeated Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre 5-4 via shootout after both teams were locked at 2-2 in regulation time. Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy beat Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy 8-0 to finish third.
