India crush Sri Lanka in Mohali ODI; level Series 1-1

ONI Bureau: India humbled Sri Lanka by 141 runs in the second ODI in Mohali to bring the series alive. The series is now levelled at 1-1 with one match to go. The 3rd and decider one will be held in Vizag on December 17.

Earlier, India posted a mammoth total of 392/4 in 50 overs, thanks to Rohit Sharma’s 208* (his 3rd ODI double hundred), Dhawan 68 and Shreyas Iyer 88. Thisara Perera took 3 wickets.

Chasing a victory target of 393, Sri Lanka kept losing wickets at regular intervals and never looked like winning the game. They played defensive cricket and finished at 251/8 in 50 overs.

Angelo Mathews scored his second ODI hundred and remained unbeaten on 111. Asela Gunaratne made 34. For India, Yuzvendra Chahal took 3 wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets. However, Rohit Sharma declared as the man of the match.
