The Phogat Sisters of Haryana

Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ pays rich tribute to great Mahavir Singh Phogat and his Wrestler daughters, who made the country proud. Geeta, Babita, Ritu and Sangita are Mahavir Singh Phogat’s Daughters.

His nieces Vinesh and Priyanka were raised by him after his brother’s murder. All six sisters are into Wrestling.

Geeta, Babita and Vinesh have won Gold medals at the Commonwealth Games. Ritu has won Gold Medal at the National Championships.

Priyanka and Sangita have won medals at various age-level international championships.
