Sania and Hingis, who had a successful run in Women’s Doubles in the last two years and held the No. 1 ranking jointly, parted ways recently. They had claimed 14 titles, including 3 Grand Slams. They will still play in October’s year-end WTA Tour Championships in Singapore.
Sania has now partnered with Barbora Strycova of the Czech Republic. But, she proved her mettle again by defeating Hingis and her partner and win the Cincinnati Open title.
