Intense heatwave conditions persist in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with the death toll rising to 1,774 in both states. Andhra Pradesh alone reported 1,334 heatwave casualties, while Telangana reported 440 deaths. Other parts of the country such as Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal and Odisha are also reeling under unprecedented heatwave conditions.
