ISIS Bombing in Pakistani Shrine: Death toll rises 81

Death toll in the suicide bombing at a Sufi Shrine in Sehwan town of Pakistan has risen to 81.

Around 250 other persons have been injured in blast that took place on Thursday nighgt when an Islamic State suicide bomber blew himself up inside the crowded shrine of revered Sufi Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.

The bomber had entered the shrine and first threw a grenade, which failed to explode. He, then, blew himself up near the site where the ritual of sufi dance was taking place. Hundreds of devotees were present inside the premises at the time of the blast.

The ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack. This is the fifth major terrorist strike in Pakistan within a week’s time.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the attack and urged Pakistan to stand united.
