Audi India launches Sports Car Audi TT Coupe at Rs.60 lakh

Making an addition to India’s luxury car market, German maker Audi on Thursday launched the new Audi TT Coupe at a price of Rs.60.34 lakh.

“This is the first of the five launches that we have planned in the next five months. Despite economic downturn last year, we have grown,” Audi India head Joe King told media persons here.

“Re-engineered for more power, the all-new Audi TT Coupe blends dynamic aesthetics with innovative technology and inspired performance,” he said.

“Both our product launches of 2015 — the limited edition Audi R8 LMX and the all-new Audi TT Coupe — have a strong sporty flair that highlights Audi’s heritage in sports cars and our leadership in this segment in India,” King added.

Its 230 horsepower engine accelerates the new Audi TT Coupe from zero to 100 km an hour in 5.3 seconds.

Audi India registered record sales in the 2014-15 fiscal, selling 11,292 units over the 10,126 units sold in 2013-14, and retained its top position in the Indian luxury car market ahead of fellow German multinational Mercedes-Benz, which also posted record sales in the last fiscal at 11,213 units.
