BSE Sensex gains 50 Points in Early Trade

BSE Sensex InvestmentMumbai, May 18 (IANS): A benchmark index of Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), on Monday was trading 50.25 points or 0.18 percent during the morning session.

The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 24.45 points or 0.30 percent up at 8,286.80 points.

The Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 27,416.97 points, was trading at 27,374.25 points (at 9.16 a.m.) in the early session, up 50.25 points or 0.18 percent from the previous day’s close at 27,324 points.

The Sensex touched a high of 27,418.10 points and a low of 27,371.26 points in the trade so far.

All the sectors were trading in green. Good buying was observed in oil and gas, health care and consumer durables sectors.
