BSE Sensex on a High, breaches 28,000 Mark

The 30-share BSE Sensex touched 28,000 points on the opening trade today for the first time since December 9. The NSE Nifty was at 8, 4 00 gaining 22 points.

Today, at 10 a.m. the Sensex touched the highest at 28063 points and at 11 am it dropped to 28002 points. At 11:15, the Sensex was at 28,000.04 points with gaining 112.14 points (0.40%) and Nifty was at 8,421.30 points with gaining 25.85 points (0.31%).

All the indices at BSE were seen gaining – BSE 100 (0.38%), MidCap (0.73%), Small Cap (0.80%) and BSE 200 (0.41%). All the sectoral indices, led by capital goods, metal and auto, were trading in positive zone with gains up to 1.18 per cent.

At NSE, 31 stocks were advanced 19 declined out of 50 stocks listed in the CNX Nifty. Last week, both Sensex and Nifty gained 2.73 per cent following strong clue from domestic and international markets.
