Jharsuguda, May 25: ‘PF at your doorstep/PF Aapke Dwaar’, an initiative by EPFO (Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation) to reach out to its subscribers was held at IPP Admin office, Vedanta Ltd., Jharsuguda on 25th May 2015. The camp was organized in collaboration with Vedanta Ltd., Jharsuguda and was widely attended by the employees and employers of in and around Jharsuguda. Presiding over the Camp, Sri Vijay Kumar, Regional P.F. Commissioner, Rourkela said that EPFO has taken several steps to ensure doorstep delivery of its various services to the millions of its subscribers. He also stressed the role of employer for creating awareness among the employees for availing various benefits extended by EPFO. Dr. Rajeev Nayan, Vice President & HR(Head) of Vedanta Ltd., Jharsuguda also appreciated the steps taken by EPFO in recent past and stated that the services of EPFO have improved a lot in the recent past and employees are getting much faster services.
The primary focus of the camp was on familiarizing the PF Subscribers with the Universal Account Number (UAN) and the various benefits that are made available to the subscribers through the medium of UAN. During the session, various other initiatives of EPFO aimed at providing better services through employers and employees were also explained in detail by Shri Brajesh Kumar, Assistant P.F. Commissioner, Rourkela and was demonstrated by technical personnels from EPFO Shri G. C. Patra and Shri Lokashis Rana. There was an interactive session also wherein the PF Subscribers sought clarifications regarding the various benefits of the schemes administered by the Organisation and also the various e-enabled services launched by it in the recent past.
Shri A.K. Jena and Shri P. K. Maharana, Enforcement officers were also present whose continuous efforts in bringing awareness among the Employees and Employers was appreciated. The other major employers of the area including M/s MSP Metallics Limited, M/S Lift and Shift, M/s Seven Star Steels, Shri Balaji Engicon, M/s Concast, M/s Thakur Prasad Sao among others participated and shared their views. The meeting ended with vote of thanks by Shri A.K. Jena, Enforcement Officer.
