Google unveils Chromecast in India

chromecastMuch awaited media streaming device, Google Chromecast will be available in India from December 10 midnight on e-commerce portal Snapdeal.

The Google Chromecast was launched in July 24, 2013 in foreign market but after one and half year it is launched in Indian market, price of the device is Rs. 2,999.

Chromecast is a streaming device that allows users to stream content from video services websites like Youtube, Google Play, Netflix and Hulu on their LED/LCD Tvs, by connecting into the HDIMI port. However, US video services like Hulu and Netflix will not work with the device in India.

Eros Now, Spuul and YuppTV apps would be working with the device in India to stream video on TV sets. Using the media streaming device, users can stream online content to their TV sets from Smartphone, tablets and PCs.

Apple TV is another similar streaming device from Apple, but local content can’t be streamed on TV sets as like users can do with Google Chromecast device.
