Idea Cellular adds 1.62 mn GSM subscribers in June 2015

Idea Cellular added 1.62 million new subscribers in June — the highest number, the Cellular Operators’ Association of India (COAI) said on Wednesday.

Idea Cellular was followed by Bharti Airtel (1.22 million), Uninor (0.42 million), Vodafone (0.39 million), Aircel (0.3 million), Videocon (0.15 million) and MTNL (0.02 million), said COAI data released in New Delhi.

The GSM subscribers increased by 4.14 million in June 2015 — up 0.58 percent from May. All India GSM cellular subscriber figures as of June 2015 were 720.38 million. (IANS)
