TCS to increase entry-level Salary of Freshers

TCSLeading Indian IT giant, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is planning to increase its entry-level salary package for freshers who are recruited either directly or through campus selection. It is not clear yet how much increase the company will prefer on its existing pay structure for the freshers.

TCS hires on an average 35,000 freshers annually. The company is said to be the most sought-after IT firm for the freshers. It receives over two lakh applications in a year. As the salary offered to fresh graduates remained static over the years, TCS now feels that it’s the right time to make a revision in its pay policy to attract more talented youth.

TCS is currently planning to hire 55,000 techies during 2014-15. They are targeting 35,000 Engineering student from around 370 institutions across the country. During the months of April to November, 31,000 youth have already received the job offers from TCS.
