Debate on Akhilesh Yadav’s rise as a strong Youth Leader

Is Akhilesh Yadav emerging as a Youth Icon and Mass Leader sans the traditional Samajwadi tag? Will he outwit others like Nitish Kumar, Arvind Kejriwal, Rahul Gandhi and Mamata Banerjee as the Face of Opposition? Or, is it too early to predict so?

Badri Mohanty: May be too early, but it seems that he may join national politics.

Ravi Pani: Yes…. He is the future of India… He has the ability to take decisions.

Jagannath Satapathy: Possibly it’s not for now. Yet he has to prove his credentials by reconquering the political battle going in the back drop of the anti-incumbency in UP. While Congress has a significant vote bank, it’s not in a position to make a big impact when it comes to seats. Except AAP as a party and Nitish as a clean and secular leader, no other party or leader may not get more traction unless a big alliance comes up in future.

Vijaya Singh: He is the best, but has to choose his friends and advisors correctly.

Srikant Grahacharya: It is too early to predict. However, youth should be given opportunities to prove.

Sangram Keshari Nepak: He is young now & the upcoming election is an acid test for him…. may not immediately but for surely he will overtake all the leaders mentioned the original post.

Baldev Singh: We wish him success for the future.

Umasankar Sahu: First of all, let him overcome the state polls.. then after many probabilities and opportunities may accept him as a National Youth Icon.. Now the situation in this case is “wait n watch”.

Kailash Behera: Too early to say.

Gyan Pradhan: We hope so… Definitely one of the hopefuls….

Binay Panigrahi: Akhilesh Yadav can be seen as an Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Samajwadi Party.

Parambrahma Tripathy: Akhilesh Yadav is a long distance runner, 2017 will definitely stun many.

Lakshit Sharma: No, he is as dumb and anti-Hindu as his father “Mulla” Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Simanchala Mishra: He should. It took him four and half years to prove himself. Finally, he is free and has got a good platform. Rahul, Kejriwal and Mamata have lost relevance. If Akhilesh proves his tough mettle and gets acceptance in UP for the 2nd time, no wonder he will be the face of opposition in 2019 and Modi will get a competitor.

Gyanranjan Samal: Akilesh Yadav is better placed w.r.t Rahul, Kejriwal & Mamata. Nitish Kumar being an experienced leader with proven clean track record both at centre and as CM is better reach than Akhilesh. Akhilesh being a young leader, definitely has better prospect than his counterpart in his generation.

With little improvement in his oratory and good advisors, he can emerge as a potential leader for India.

Rahul Barrick: Yes we can say he is an emerging leader in Indian politics. He is not abusive like other leaders. He has the ability to make tough decisions.

Bhawani Mahapatra: Akhilesh is the youngest leader emerged from ground unlike Rahul Gandhi & Kejriwal the making of whom, media has played a vital role. Though he’s a son of a former CM, he has made his own identity within and outside the party unlike Yadav’s of Bihar, Badal, Abdullah, Stalin/Alagiri. He is easily accessible to people unlike Naveen Patnaik.

Sudhir Padhy: 1) He will stay at state level like Nitish, so can not compare with RaGa or Kejriwal.
2) can not win without a coalition with Non-BJP and non-BSP parties.
3) If he can pull off a victory on his own, he will out power Kejri, Nitish and Mamata.

Gitimaya Padhi: 1. The segregation is a staged drama, will merge with his fathers side post election.
2. The drama is to prevent desperate people to external powers with a new agenda.
3. Recent CMs like Mayavati and Akhilesh are symbols of caste politics, which has no hope for the youth.
4. This step is also to hamper Congress tag line of Youth Neta Rahul although typical Indian grandfathers are of his age.
5. BJP to be benefited if he out powers Kejri, Nitish and Mamata.
