Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for clarity on conducting board exams.
The Chief Minister said that a national policy on board exams would help to reduce stress and anxiety among school children.
“In absence of clarity on academic session and conduct of both Standard X and Standard XII board examinations, all enrolled students and their parents/teachers are in a state of uncertainty. It is leading to anxiety among all,”the leader read.
CM Patnaik also said that since the competitive examinations and admission to higher educational institutions are interlinked, ‘national guidelines with tentative timeliness will help the States for framing appropriate strategy.’
