In view of the surge in Covid-19 cases in the state, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced to postpone Class X and XII exams under Board of Secondary Education (BSE).
While the Class X exams were set to begin on May 3, the Odisha board Class XII exam were scheduled to start on May 18.
The State Government will review the situation in the first week of June and take necessary action based on it.
Meanwhile, the students of Class IX and XI will be promoted to the higher class without appearing for examination.
