6 Janata Parivar Parties merge to form Anti-Modi Bloc

Janata-Parivar1Six political parties – Samajwadi Party, Janata Dal (U), Janata Dal (S), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and Samajwadi Janata Party (SJP) merged today to announce the birth of a new political party under the leadership of Mulayam Singh Yadav. The new party will have a single point agenda – to dethrone BJP from power and stop Narendra Modi.

Mulayam Singh Yadav will also lead the party’s Parliamentary Board. A five-member panel will be formed to decide on the name, symbol, flag, principles and all other related issues of the new political party. The process will be expedited further. The Panel members include Sharad Yadav, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Abhay Chautala, Ramgopal Yadav and Kamal Morarka.

While addressing the media, Lalu, Sharad, Mulayam and Nitish slammed BJP-led NDA Government at the centre. They accused the BJP of pursuing communal agenda to divide the country. Lalu Prasad Yadav said that Bihar elections will determine the course of Indian politics. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said that this party will give a new direction to Indian politics.

The Janata Parivar leaders clarified that there is no ego issue between them and that they will fight the BJP with full unity and strength. Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson Dr. Sambit Patra has said that “The new party is a confederation of losers”.
