ABP News-Nielsen Survey predicts AAP Win in Delhi

imageThe latest survey conducted by ABP News-Nielsen, has predicted a victory for Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi. This is the first time any top survey has given the AAP a chance to rule Delhi with almost an absolute majority.

In the 70-member Delhi Assembly, the magic figure remains 36. As per the latest survey conducted between January 27 and January 31, AAP may win 35 seats, while the BJP may win just 29 seats. Congress may win just 6 seats. When it comes to vote share, the AAP may get 37% of total votes, followed by BJP (33%) and Congress (18%). The survey was held across 35 seats and 6,396 voters were covered.

ABP News-Nielsen opinion poll says that there has been a decline in Narendra Modi’s popularity in Delhi, although he still remains the most popular leader with 46% votes. Arvind Kejriwal is at the second spot with 43%. However, when it comes to the most preferable CM candidate, Kejriwal (48%) is ahead of Kiran Bedi (42%). Ajay Maken seems to be way behind with 7% votes.

When asked who betrayed Anna Hazare, 20% people think it is Arvind Kejriwal. However, 18% believe Kiran Bedi betrayed Anna. 23% people think that both Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi betrayed their mentor Anna Hazare.

When it comes to Modi Government’s performance in the last 8 months, 25% people think it has been very good. 33% people think it has been good. 27% people termed it average. Only 13% people termed the Modi Government’s performance as bad to very bad.

It would be interesting to see whether the ABP News-Nielsen survey gets it right this time or BJP goes all out to turn the tide and twist the results in its favour.
