Barkha Dutt steps down as Group Editor of NDTV

imageSenior Journalist Barkha Dutt has resigned as the Group Editor of NDTV after serving the news channel for over 20 years, but will continue as the Consulting Editor till she sets up her own media venture.

Barkha Dutt will set up her own Multimedia Content Company and Policy Group very soon. Barkha, who shot into fame following the coverage during the Kargil War, made all efforts to make NDTV a successful news channel. NDTV was the first 24/7 English News Channel in India.

After stepping down as the Group Editor, Barkha Dutt will continue to host two TV shows – ‘Buck Stops Here’ and ‘We The People’. Barkha had faced severe criticism during her reporting of 2002 Gujarat Riots and 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. She is known as a prominent anti-BJP face with Congress leaning. Hr name also cropped up in the infamous Neera Radia tap case.
