Cops take Jitender Singh Tomar to Faizabad for Questioning

Jitender Singh TomarDelhi’s former Law Minister Jitender Singh Tomar, who had to resign last night after his arrest in fake degree row, has been taken to Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh for further investigation.

49-year-old Tomar, a MLA from Trinagar, was sent to four-day police custody yesterday after his bail plea was rejected. He was arrested on a complaint of the Delhi Bar law Council, which alleges that Tomar had forged his law degree certificate.

Upon investigation, the cops found him guilty of forging the B.Sc as well as the Law Degree certificate. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government has refused to accept that Tomar had forged the documents and has been supporting him while accusing the centre and L-G of playing politics to defame the Kejriwal Government.
