Crowd erupts to greet Dharmendra en route Boudh

Dharmendra-KhurdaInsight News Desk: Boudh has been considered as a stronghold of ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD). While Congress did have a good presence there, BJP was never a force to reckon with in the district till the recently concluded panchayat polls in the state. The saffron party won a few ZP seats, making its presence felt.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who is on an offensive to fulfill Amit Shah’s goal of ‘Mission 120’ in Odisha, is leaving for Boudh today. En route, he has received warm welcome at Khurda, Begunia and Itamati, as huge crowd erupted to greet him.

The Paikas in Bolagarh in Khurda district, welcomed Dharmendra in tradition style and commended him for making all-round efforts to give Paika Rebellion national recognition.

It’s too early to say if BJP would be able to outwit BJD in the above areas. But, Dharmendra’s presence has managed to galvanise the party cadres and leaders.
