‘Do Not Deprive Us Of KALIA Aids Under BJP’s Pressure’, Farmers Plead Odisha CEO

On Thursday, hundreds of farmers from western Odisha joined hands to plead the Chief Electoral Officer(CEO) of Odisha not to bar them of their permissible privileges by obstructing the financial aids under the KALIA scheme.
The farmers hailing from Bolangir and Bargarh district met the CEO separately today seeking justice over the issue.
In a report submitted to the CEO, the farmers from Bolangir district alleged that they did not receive the assistance under KALIA scheme despite their names having been registered.

Apparently, the fear gripped farmers after they got to know about barring aids to farmers under KALIA scheme from the media. The farmers stated in the report that they be allowed to draw privileges under KALIA scheme not preventing them of their granted rights under pressure from BJP.
