Domino’s Pizza Delivery Man arrested for molesting 5-yr Old Girl

New Delhi, July 12: A 27-year-old pizza delivery man was arrested here on Sunday for molesting a minor girl, police said.

The incident took place around 11.45 a.m. when the accused Amit, employed with a major pizza chain Domino’s, went to deliver an order at the residence of the girl in south Delhi’s Ashram area, police said.

According to the girl’s uncle, the man caught hold of the five-year-old girl in the staircase of the three-storey building, switched off the lights and molested her.

“When the girl raised an alarm, he (Amit) fled the spot,” the girl’s uncle told IANS.

The girl’s family lives in all three floors of the building, and she was on her way from the first floor to the third — where she resides — when the incident occurred, her uncle said. (IANS)

A first information report (FIR) was filed at the Lajpat Nagar police station and the accused, a resident of Dakshinpuri in south Delhi, was arrested within a few hours of the incident.

“We have arrested him (Amit) and will present him in court tomorrow (Monday),” a police officer said.
