Drug Money buys Bullets that hit our Soldiers, says Modi

Modi-AnthemIn his radio address to the nation, ‘Mann Ki Baat’ today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked about drug abuse and strongly denounced the menace, saying it affects millions of families and shatter their happiness and peace forever. “I’m pained by the grief of families whose children get caught in the trap of drug menace,” he said.

He described the drugs as a 3D problem – Darkness, Destruction and Devastation. He assured the nation to start a toll-free helpline to tackle the issue. ‘I am worried about the mothers and daughters, who have been at the receiving end due to drug menace,” said the PM.

He linked terrorism and militancy to drug trafficking. “The money earned from illegal drug trafficking are being used to buy bullets, guns and bombs to kill our soldiers,” he lamented.

PM Narendra Modi started the radio chat programme on October 3. On the first address, he talked about ‘Clean India’ or ‘Swachh Bharat’. In the second address, he assured the nation to bring back every single pie of black money.
