Lalit Modi now targets BJP Leader Sudhanshu Mittal

Sudhanshu Mittal - Lalit Modi Former IPL ChiefFormer IPL chief Lalit Modi has said he will reveal Bhnaratiya Janata Party leader Sudhanshu Mittal’s “rags to riches story” in the coming days, and questioned Mittal’s relations with alleged hawala operator Vivek Nagpal.

“Wait 4 details on #racketeer #Tentwala @SudhanshuBJP Rags to #riches story coming live via #LALITGATE in next week,” Modi tweeted late Wednesday.

Modi, who is facing a number of investigations related to alleged financial irregularities in India, raised questions over Mittal’s relationship with Vivek Nagpal, a man referred to as a “master hawala racketeer” by him.

“Breaking news: world exclusive bought to u by #LALITGATE wants to know @SudhanshuBJP what is your relationship with Vivek Nagpal,” Modi posted on Twitter.

Responding to Modi’s tweets, Mittal hit back and said he was proud to be a tentwala.

“@LalitKModi I had enough wealth then also unlike ur failed ’empire’. Proud to b a tentwala unlike u who only touted. Looser u r jealousa,” Mittal twitted.

Calling himself a whistle-blower, Modi also said he is not a “fugitive”.

“Happy to play a role of whistle-blower, I did nothing wrong. I am not a fugitive. I do have a clear conscience…,” said Modi.

On Wednesday, Modi said Bharatiya Janata Party leader Varun Gandhi met him in London a few years ago and wanted to settle everything with his aunt and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi in exchange for money.

Though Varun Gandhi accepted meeting Modi, he denied having struck any kind of deal between them.

Modi continued his attack over Varun Gandhi on late Wednesday and asked him to reply why he came to see him in London. (IANS)
