Mercury rises to 42.7 Degrees C in Delhi on Thursday

Sun-StrokeNew Delhi, May 7 (IANS): It was a hot Thursday in the capital with the maximum temperature soaring up to 42.7 degrees Celsius – four notches above season’s average. Friday is expected to be as hot and partly cloudy, the met department said.

“Friday might be partly cloudy,” said an official of India Meteorological Department.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 43 and 28 degrees Celsius respectively

The minimum temperature recorded Thursday was 27.6 degrees Celsius – three notches above average, while the maximum humidity was 34 percent.
