Narendra Modi roars in Srinagar, seeks Mandate for BJP

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to martyr jawans, who laid down their lives last week while fighting with the terrorists. He addressed a rally in Srinagar amidst tight security arrangements and sought a mandate for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jammu & Kashmir.

“Ballots will win over the bullets. We want people to use the ballot button, not the AK-47 trigger,” he said. Earlier, he addressed a rally in Samba and vowed to take forward dreams of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

“I come to J&K every now and then since taking charge as PM. I came in 2014 and I will come in 2015 also. I have come here to share your grievances. Elect a strong, stable government, not a hung Assembly in J&K,” he said. He was critical of the National Conference and Congress and hailed the Army for their relentless efforts during J&K floods.
